After you’ve received a remittance and you need to bill secondary insurance, here are the steps:
- Go to Billing.
- Go to the “Client Encounters” tab.
- Filter for the client’s name or date of service or encounter number
- Check the box on the right of the encounter you’d like to bill secondary for
- On the left of the encounter, there’s a dropdown. Select the secondary payer from that dropdown.
- At the top of the page, in the Actions dropdown, choose “Submit to Clearinghouse”
