Document a Phone Call, No Show or Any “Other” Type of Appointment

From time to time you need to document other types of interactions with a client. Most often clinicians want to document a No Show or Late Cancel or perhaps a phone call.

Here’s how to document a point-in-time or chargeable event:

  1. Open the Appointment Window by clicking on the colored part of existing appointment OR simply drag and drop the client to create a new appointment.
  2. Change Appointment Type to “Other”
  3. Select the appropriate Billing Code
  4. Click Save
  5. Click the Notepad icon (Notepad) to go to the Encounter Summary
  6. Click the Edit button on the Client Encounter form.
  7. Enter your note and click Save.
  8. Click eSign to finish documenting the note.
